Grace Lutheran Advent Brunch Grace Lutheran Church’s annual Advent brunch will take place on Saturday, December 1st. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. The cost is $7, and reservations can be made with Viola Dreger (262) 694-0613, or the church office (262) 654-9143 by November 26th. Join in the fellowship!

Nursery Help Needed Do you like working with children? Are you interested in working in the nursery during the 9:30 service? We are looking for a nursery attendant on Sundays. Sign up for Thanksgiving Service Pie Social The Thanksgiving service is Monday, Nov. 19 at 7:00 pm. The pie social follows the service in the Gathering Space. We will need people to set up, serve and clean up. We also need people to bring pies. The sign-up sheets are on the sign-up board in the hallway.

Christmas Gift Donations Needed Trinity is once again this year collecting donations of Christmas Gifts that will be given to about 15 adult individuals who volunteer at and also receive services from the ELCA Outreach Center. We will be providing more details and distributing names of the recipients in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you would like to purchase a gift or two in advance, gifts should not be more expensive than $20. See Nancy Lehrke with any questions.

Graphic Designer Needed… We need a graphic designer to help us work on our upcoming stewardship campaign. If you are willing and able to donate your time and talents, please contact Bruce Milne or Russ Hahn (bjmilne@yahoo.com) (russh617@aol.com).

Shalom Center Fundraiser The 27th Annual “Pasta for Shalom” dinner is being held on November 18th from 11:30 a.m—6:00 p.m. The dinner will be held at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church (2001-80th Street). Call 658-1713 for more information.

Free Items Free to any Trinity members, we have a chest freezer (working condition), a Pepsi machine (not working) and a large vertical filing cabinet. Moving these items will be your responsibility. If you are interested, please contact Kathy Baas (262) 914-7172.

Seminary Intern 2019 Part of Trinity’s commitment as a teaching parish is providing a team of lay leaders who agree to meet monthly with the intern to hear concerns, process questions and offer support. We need four to five persons to participate with one serving as a leader. Please contact Pastor Tom for more information. Exciting!

FLASH GIVING OPPORTUNITY A good deal presented itself and Council acted quickly: new light fixtures for the Education Building. (Think SS School, Choir, and Counting Rooms) Total cost: $3,900. 

Saturday Morning Bible Study, “Traveling Light” will be meeting on Saturday, September 29, at 8:30-10:00 a.m., upstairs in Room 203 Most of us love to travel. What we hate is the baggage we carry with us, but what if you could travel through life with no baggage at all? Join us for a new study of the DVD series “Traveling Light” by Max Lucado with the 23rd Psalm as our guide. All are welcome. Bring your own experiences and favorite Bible (or we have extra) as we meet over our morning coffee, provided. Fitness Classes at Trinity! Interested in improving your fitness, your well-being, and your whole outlook on life? Well, Jennifer Kreger will soon be starting fitness classes right here at Trinity Lutheran Church! The first class will be a Cardio Bootcamp style class and will be open to all levels of fitness. Trinity-Internship Site in 2019? Pastor Kara Baylor from Carthage and Pastor Tom are in early discussions of partnering together to share a seminary intern from LSTC next year. The cost is $30,000. Carthage will pay $18,000, Trinity $12,000. More information will follow. For now, please pray about this opportunity and how we might assist in training a future leader of the church.

Collecting Items for the Dayton Facility, All year-long   We collect items for residents of the Dayton Assisted Living Facility, including men’s underwear (LG, XL, and 2XL t-shirts and briefs) hats, socks, Biotene, Chapstick, non-alcoholic mouthwash, body wash, stamps, envelopes, playing cards, and batteries. There is a basket for these items located in the gathering space. Thank you.
